Pacific Popcorn Phases
This module aims to explain to kindergarten through second grade students the difference between phases of matter while touching upon chemical reactions. This interactive example uses gas formed from a dilute vinegar and baking soda reaction to float popcorn in a cup. Supplemented with a storyline about a fish in the ocean, students will practice identifying different phases of matter while learning about keeping our ocean ecosystems clean and healthy.
