Chemical Engineer Outside the US? Virtual Meetings Offer New Opportunities

If you’ve normally ruled out attending the AIChE Virtual Spring Meeting and Global Congress on Process Safety because of cost and distance, this year is a great time to reconsider. Clearly, travel costs and arrangements will not be a concern, but in addition to that, the new virtual format has been designed to allow access to content when it’s convenient, regardless of where you are in the world.

Access content on your schedule

AIChE has worked to eliminate the issues caused by time zone differences and schedule conflicts, so you can access the content that is most important to you, whenever you'd like. First, if you’re in Europe, many of the keynotes are scheduled early enough in the US so that many Europeans will find it easy to attend scheduled events.

But if you have schedule conflicts or are in a more distant time zone, you can always rely on finding the vast majority of presentations and talks in an archived format for 30 days within the conference online platform. So join us throughout the week, or anytime within 30 days of an event.

Specialized regional content

Like previous years, the conferences also feature programming designed specifically for chemical engineers joining us from outside the US. Be sure to check out the special GCPS track called Perspectives on Process Safety from Around the World. It features sessions in Spanish and Portuguese. In addition, this year's GCPS meeting also has a session devoted to Japan's Process Safety Progress
