AIChE and Hydrocarbon Processing magazine — a monthly publication that covers technical advances and news across the global hydrocarbon processing industries — have announced a strategic partnership that will provide both parties with a larger platform to reach chemical engineers around the world. As part of the agreement, AIChE members who join the Institute’s Fuels and Petrochemicals Division will receive a subscription to Hydrocarbon Processing as a member benefit.

AIChE announced the memorandum of understanding on April 23, 2018, at the AIChE Spring Meeting and Global Congress on Process in Orlando, Florida, during the Fuels and Petrochemicals Division’s Welcome Session and Keynote. The partnership was echoed at an April 24 panel discussion devoted to shale gas and oil in North America, and the impact of those resources on the U.S. petrochemicals infrastructure and global markets. On the panel, Lee Nichols, Hydrocarbon Processing’s editor and associate publisher, represented the magazine. Other panelists included Paul Durand (ExxonMobil) and Sanjeev Kapur (Apex PetroConsultants).

The subscription to Hydrocarbon Processing is part of an expanding technical benefits package offered to AIChE members who also join the Institute’s Fuels and Petrochemicals Division. Other new benefits include access to relevant webinars, as well as over 10 years of conference proceedings and five years of conference recordings. Details are available here.
