In celebration of Pride Month, and as part of AIChE's Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives, we're sharing these podcasts. Hear from five panelists who were part of the LGBTQ+ & Allies Young Professionals Panel at the 2020 Virtual AIChE Annual Meeting; and meet three AIChE members spearheading the LGBTQ+ & Allies initiative, a program designed to raise awareness, offer support, and create dialog for issues relevant to LGBTQ+ individuals in the chemical engineering profession.

In this podcast episode, Tony Butterfield, Stephanie Farrell, and Gayle Gibson discuss the immediate and long-term goals of AIChE’s LGBTQ+ initiative, how members can get involved, how new expectations to advance inclusion will change definitions of leadership, and how this initiative will impact their students and mentees as they consider their own career choices in engineering.
