The event takes place on Tuesday, October 30 at the 2018 AIChE Annual Meeting in the Spirit of Pittsburgh Ballroom B. Dow Chemical is a benefactor of AIChE's Doing a World of Good Campaign. Topics include basic LGBTQ+ terminology, managing bias and microaggressions, introduction of intersectionality, and more. The workshop will be conducted by AIChE volunteers Stephanie Farrell and Tony Butterfield. Panel The workshop is followed by a panel at 4:45 pm, which is moderated by retired Director of Engineering at DuPont Gayle Gibson and features perspectives and experiences from leaders in industry and academia. In addition to Jim Fitterling, Chief Executive Officer, The Dow Chemical Company, and Chief Operating Officer, DowDuPont Materials Science Division; panelists include Deborah Grubbe, Owner and President of Operations and Safety Solutions, and Eric Reiner, Professor at University of California, Berkeley.
