CV-30 live-cell imaging chamber

The CV-30 live-cell imaging chamber is compatible with any microscope stage capable of accepting a multi-well plate. It features a user-defined bath geometry, bath volume, and a large viewing area. A 0.17-mm-thick glass coverslip forms the top of the chamber and a 1.0-mm-thick round coverslip forms the chamber bottom. The CV-30 is compatible with CytoViva’s high-resolution imaging system, so it can be used for simultaneous observation of fluorescent and non-fluorescent samples.

Special Needs And Products (SNAP)

Special Needs And Products (SNAP) is a new service that provides access to a team of applications engineers who develop customized solutions to meet unusual signal-interface needs in industrial process control, systems integration and factory automation applications. When an off-the-shelf replacement instrument is not suitable, the SNAP team performs updates on instruments by modifying functions, including: non-standard power ranges, non-standard signal inputs and outputs, computing and math functions, and alarm trips, among others.

Span Pac H2O-R moisture-standard generators

Span Pac H2O-R moisture-standard generators create known calibration standards for trace moisture in reactive gases, including chlorine and HCl. They employ the standard additions technique, in which a small flow of dry inert gas flows over a permeation tube to create a base moisture standard. Measured amounts of the base mixture are then added to a flow of the reactive gas to create the standard. Permeation tubes cover concentrations ranging from 100 ppm. Multi-point calibrations over a 400:1 range are easily achieved at any concentration level.

Model VIP flow conditioner

The Model VIP is a patent-pending flow conditioner designed to maximize flowmeter performance with minimal pressure drop. It combines tab-type flow-conditioning technology in a thin, insertion-panel-type device that is easy to install. Tab-type flow conditioning is said to greatly reduce pressure drop compared to alternative approaches based on tube bundles, screens and perforated plates. The Model VIP achieves needed flow conditioning just three pipe diameters downstream from a flow disturbance to achieve the symmetrical and swirl-free flow profile required by the flowmeter.

Model DR05 paddle-wheel flow sensors

Model DR05 paddle-wheel flow sensors are available to measure the flow of liquids with low viscosity similar to water. The flow sensor consists of a section of polypropylene pipe fitted with a paddle wheel that extends into the flowing liquid. The rotary motion of the plastic paddle wheel is detected by a Hall sensor, which provides output as a series of pulses whose frequency is directly proportional to the flowrate. Alternatively, the pulsed output can be converted into a 4-20-mA signal.

AerOpak mineral-insulated thermocouple cables

AerOpak mineral-insulated thermocouple cables are available with various sheath materials, including stainless steel, Hastelloy, and Inconel, that are suitable for use in harsh, corrosive, and other hazardous environments at temperatures to 2,600°F. The cables are comprised of thermocouple or conductor wires that are insulated with compacted ceramic powder and then drawn and encased in a seamless metallic sheath. They come in sizes ranging from 0.020 in. to 0.750 in. o.d. and can be supplied in lengths of 1,000 ft or more.

Haver Tyler CPA 2-1 photo-optical particle size and shape analyzer

The Haver Tyler CPA 2-1 photo-optical particle size and shape analyzer measures dry, free-flowing and nonagglomerating particles in the laboratory. In 3–5 min, it performs an analysis that would take 15–20 min to do with a test sieve and shaker. The latter method measures particles indirectly by calculating the percentage of a selected standard size in a representative sample, whereas the CPA 2-1 accurately counts and measures each individual particle in real-time. It has user-friendly software that correlates the raw particle-count data to the sieving distribution curve for comparison.

XSE process gage series

The XSE process gage series is suitable for pressure applications in refining, petrochemical and chemical plants. These rugged gages are available in a variety of materials, including stainless steel, Monel, and copper alloy. Their Bourdon tube design reduces stress, allowing a gage to undergo 10 million or more pressure cycles during its service life. Their excellent resistance to vibration and pulsation reduces downtime.

Traceable Dissolved Oxygen Pen

The Traceable dissolved oxygen pen withstands severe lab and harsh plant environments and has a long service life. It has a water-resistant acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) plastic housing with an O-ring seal and membrane keypad. The pen’s high-contrast, easy-to-read liquid crystal display has a luminescent backlight that can be read in total darkness and uses 0.375-in-high digits to simultaneously display both oxygen concentration and temperature. The unit recalls minimum and maximum readings at the press of a button. The pen measures 1.5-in. dia. by 8-in. long, and weighs 5 oz.

LD 682 seal cooler

The LD 682 seal cooler is an economical mechanical-seal support system that reduces emissions and increases both safety and reliability by controlling the temperature of the seal. Its Type 316 stainless steel cooling coil provides corrosion resistance, which reduces total lifecycle costs. This coil can be used where the process-side pressure is high because it has a wall thickness of 0.095 in. (2.41 mm). This helps meet operational and hydrostatic test pressure requirements for most applications.
