Mustang Q XT series reusable chromatography capsules

Designed to provide flexibility and high performance, Mustang Q XT series reusable chromatography capsules help process development engineers reduce purification time, increase throughput, and cut buffer consumption costs in ion exchange applications. They are available in 5-mL, 140-mL and 5-L sizes, and units can be linked in parallel or in series to increase processing capabilities. Each capsule has 16 layers of the Mustang Q membrane.

Mupor PTFE microporous membrane

The Mupor polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) microporous membrane features a three-dimensional pore structure that helps to keep the pores from collapsing under pressure, and comes in a wide range of pore sizes, from 0.5 mm to 50 mm. It is supplied on rolls, with or without an adhesive backing, and can be ordered in thicknesses from 50 mm to 3,000 mm and in widths up to 330 mm. The membrane has a tensile strength up to 20 N/mm2 and is U.S. Pharmacopeia-approved (USP-23) and non-cytotoxic.

Fluor-O-Shield basket strainers

Constructed of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), all-plastic Fluor-O-Shield basket strainers cost less than units that are lined with steel or other metals, and outperform ordinary plastic strainers made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC), chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC), polypropylene and acetal materials. Unlike previously available plastic strainers, these can handle corrosive materials, including halogens and many acids, and they can operate at temperatures up to 300°F.

PureProteome magnetic nickel beads

PureProteome magnetic nickel beads form a powerful separation matrix with high binding capacity that can be used for the fast and easy purification of polyhistidine-tagged recombinant proteins. A patented process creates high-affinity beads, which offer higher purity while yielding similar amounts of protein compared to other less-pure magnetic beads. These beads bind recombinant protein even in the presence of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), which is a metal ion chelator.

Centri-Sifter MO-SS centrifugal screener

The Centri-Sifter MO-SS centrifugal screener has a hinged end cover and a three-bearing cantilevered shaft to ease internal component removal. External roller bearings are located at the motor end of the shaft and on a hinged cover at the discharge end for maximum support and vibration-free operation. When the end cover is opened, the shaft becomes a cantilever supported by a third externally mounted roller bearing located between the motor-end bearing and the material feed point. This design allows internal components to slide freely from the opposite shaft end for a thorough washdown.

Ground Retractable Automobile Barrier

The Ground Retractable Automobile Barrier (GRAB) 300 is a flexible non-hydraulic barrier that absorbs energy. A reduced-risk alternative to rigid wedge barriers, the GRAB-300 keeps perimeters safe while protecting resources and lives. It deploys in less than 2 s and is reusable after impact. This single barrier requires only a shallow-mount foundation and replaces up to five conventional active vehicle barriers. It has a flexible power supply and can span multiple lanes.

Impasse high-security fence system

The Impasse high-security fence system is a significant improvement over typical chain link and ornamental mesh fences. Impasse consists of heavy-steel palisades that allow facilities to incorporate multiple perimeter-security peripherals into the fence system. These peripherals, which include intrusion detection systems (IDSs), fiber optic networks, conduit, and closed circuit television (CCTV) monitors, combine to create a formidable design that is superior to, and typically less-costly than, a patchwork system.

FFT Secure Fence

FFT Secure Fence is a fiber-optic perimeter security and intrusion-detection system that pinpoints breaches to within 10 m along approved perimeter fences, which can stretch as long as 80 km. Multiple systems can be networked together to monitor longer distances. Performance testing demonstrates a success rate of better than 95%. An advanced signature-analysis feature virtually eliminates nuisance alarms. The system requires no additional electronics or power in the field, and is immune to both electromagnetic and radio frequency interference.

FiberPatrol FP1100-X security system

The FiberPatrol FP1100-X security system monitors the perimeter of a plant, typically via a single fiber optic cable. If the sensing cable is severed, the system remains fully operational by using distributed fiber loopback technology to reroute optical signals. It can be installed alone or as part of an integrated solution. Users can choose fence-mounted and in-ground installations. The continuous sensor cable can extend for miles and does not require electrical power anywhere in the field. As an option, the cable may include additional fibers for video and data transmission.

Model RSC line of safety-stop-controls

Designed for use on indoor conveyor systems, the Model RSC line of safety-stop-controls can be purchased in four styles, including both single-ended (RSC-A and RSC-B) and double-ended units (RSC-C), as well as slack-wire and tight-wire versions. Tight-wire models RSC-B and RSC-C have an external tension spring to maintain constant tension on the pull cable. These units will activate an alarm if the cable is pulled or breaks. Once a problem has been corrected, the unit must be manually reset by physically moving the reset level.
