AspenONE Version 7

AspenONE Version 7 brings together simulation, equipment design and economic analysis, allowing integrated conceptual engineering workflow through one user interface. Its patented master data model (MDM) enables process manufacturers to effectively manage assets from design through operations stages of the product lifecycle. It offers an integration of both equation-oriented and sequential modular approaches to simulation, which is especially useful for the energy sector.

ALGOR Version 22 finite element analysis (FEA) software

ALGOR Version 22 finite element analysis (FEA) software has upgraded its modeling, simulation, and results evaluation and presentation features. Its expanded support for 64-bit systems allows users to handle larger models faster than before. Its multifrontal massively parallel solver (MUMPS) quickly solves linear and nonlinear stress and fluid-flow models

NiagaraAX

NiagaraAX is an infrastructure automation and device-to-enterprise integration platform. Its Version 3.4 release adds 64-bit Windows support with a higher capacity AX Supervisor. It also has an option that allows the Framework’s AX Supervisor to run on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, and a driver that supports the MySQL database. It incorporates support for IPv6, the next protocol that is set to replace Internet Protocol (IP) Version 4 (IPv4).

TetraShell hollow-build software

TetraShell hollow-build software produces reduced-density structural stereolithography (SL) parts. To form a support structure, it uses TetraLattice technology, which was developed by the Milwaukee School of Engineering. This technology allows wall thicknesses to be varied and other support parameters to be adjusted, facilitating the manufacture of a variety of hollow parts. These capabilities reduce the mass of products, which generates savings in material costs.

ECLIPSE Process online analyzer software Release 10

Release 10 of ECLIPSE Process online analyzer software offers improved control over the detection system and instantaneous user-interface response, as well as configurable analysis and calibration methods (ACM) calculations that can be run simultaneously. Its features include an ACM report generator, automatic light-level adjustment, fault-alarm condition setup, and software-controlled relay activation from each screen. Its diagnostics and reporting routines monitor system performance and trigger rapid action when required.

H1 Interoperability Test Kit (ITK) Version 5.1

Version 5.1 of H1 Interoperability Test Kit (ITK) supports temperature transducer blocks, device description 5.1 functionality, and field diagnostics profiles, enhancing organization and integration of device diagnostics (DD) within the manufacturer’s fieldbus systems. The kit verifies the functionality of an H1 (31.25 kbit/s) device and its conformity with the Foundation Fieldbus function block and transducer block specifications. It troubleshoots and debugs devices, and includes all hardware and software that are required to ensure complete device interoperability.

ALGOR finite element analysis (FEA) software V23

The latest version of ALGOR finite element analysis (FEA) software, V23, significantly upgrades its computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools. It has “smart” bonded contact with multi-point constraints that bond the surfaces of unmatched meshes, which makes hand-built models easier to tie together and computer-aided design (CAD) models easier to mesh. It includes a utility that generates vertices and beams to replace non-essential surfaces to reduce model size for quicker analysis.

CADWorx fieldPipe for CloudWorx

The CADWorx fieldPipe for CloudWorx tool facilitates building intelligent, specification-driven models by bringing point-cloud scan readings from Leica Cloudworx into the CADWorx fieldPipe model. The program calculates the center and diameter of the pipe run by selecting one point on the surface of a pipe cylinder. With all parameters set, the user can accurately place piping components using the point cloud data in the model.

Chromatography Software

Agilent Technologies Inc. and Healex Systems Ltd. have collaborated to make Agilent’s ChemStation chromatography software support Healex’s ChemLaunch remote instrument access and control module. Combined with the OpenLAB laboratory operating system, this configuration provides an integrated software environment for large-scale, distributed analytical labs. It provides a single point of contact that streamlines administration of ChemStation/ChemLaunch operations.

COMSOL Conference CD 2009 edition

The 2009 edition of the COMSOL Conference CD contains more than 275 technical papers, 195 presentations, and 14 downloadable and ready-to-run models in COMSOL Multiphysics software. It also includes 91 animations and movie clips that illustrate multiphysics modeling across all disciplines of science, industrial and space research, engineering, medical research, and education.
