The gCrystal software suite’s easy-to-use, drag-and-drop graphical environment permits model-based innovation, engineering, and optimization of solution-crystallization processes, including precipitation. The program enables the creation of detailed models containing first-principles representations of the complex physics and chemistry of crystallization.

Pilot Maintain Module

The Pilot Maintain module is now part of the Felton Pilot MES platform. Pilot Maintain supports operator efforts to plan preventive maintenance programs for all devices, systems, and machines, and to carry out such a plan in a targeted way. Maintenance intervals can be set by time, production volume, or machine runtime. The ability to improve system reliability through more strategic planning and execution of upcoming and recurring maintenance and repair work can help to reduce lost production and economic losses related to unplanned downtime.

PVT Version 2.0

This company has just released Version 2.0 of its PVT software, which is used by the VISCOlab PVT system for high-pressure and high-temperature viscosity analysis. The viscometer is used to measure viscosity in a variety of applications, including oil exploration, research, and recovery; gas and gas condensates; core analysis; phase behavior; supercritical fluids; and other complex applications. The new version of the software includes several key enhancements designed to make viscosity testing of oil, gas, and supercritical fluids easier and more efficient.

WellLink 3D

The WellLink 3D visualization product converts wellbore data into real-time imagery to support reservoir characterization and navigation, directional drilling, well planning, and reservoir optimization. By allowing real-time well data — such as Earth models, well trajectory, logs, and reservoir models — to be viewed and analyzed within their geologic context, the software provides useful decision-support capabilities.

PlantTriage

PlantTriage’s latest enhancement, Root Cause Finder, employs advanced mathematical techniques to automatically identify the root causes of process upsets, without requiring any process models or other prior knowledge of the process. Upsets that start in one part of a plant are reflected in the data patterns observed in other parts of the plant. By evaluating the correlations among instrument readings throughout the entire manufacturing facility, and the time-shift from one correlation to the other, PlantTriage is able to determine the most likely sources of process variation.

Service Pack 1

Service Pack 1 is a major upgrade for Web Studio v7.0 that adds new features, such as multiple language development support for Japanese, French, Portuguese, and German, along with SSL email (support for Gmail), new symbol libraries, new drivers, and more. Statistical process control (SPC) allows machine and process performance to be optimized. Without making any modifications to the project, the user can enable the SPC capabilities to display the average, minimum, maximum, and standard deviation for process values in real-time by simply clicking on an icon, with no programming necessary.

Thermo Scientific iTEVA Precision software module

The Thermo Scientific iTEVA Precision software module enables high-precision, automated analysis of high-concentration elements and precious metals. It seamlessly integrates with the iCAP 6000 Series of inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometers (ICP-OES). The module features advanced data processing, which routinely enables relative standard deviation (RSD) values of less than 0.3% between sample aliquots to be achieved.

aspenONE

The latest release of aspenONE software delivers process mobility for iPad, iPhone, and Blackberry devices, allowing broader collaboration and visibility to support better decision-making across engineering and manufacturing functions. The mobile versions include Aspen IP.21 and Aspen Properties. Aspen IP.21 enables users to resolve operational performance issues faster — delivering increased profitability, reduced variability, and improved asset utilization in real time.

Track 6.2 module

The Track 6.2 module is an upgrade of this firm’s contractor cost management solution that helps automate and speed the distribution of valuable, project-related data to key decision-makers. The updated reporting module provides users new functionality to schedule reports for delivery by email and allows large amounts of data to be scheduled for execution outside of peak hours.
