InFusion enterprise control system (ECS)

A 16-page brochure describes the InFusion enterprise control system (ECS), said to be the world’s first industrial system thatprovides a true enterprise view. InFusion combines capabilities from across Invensys with advanced enterprise information and integration technologies from Microsoft and SAP to reduce integration costs.

500AR hydraulic diaphragm metering pump

The 500AR hydraulic diaphragm metering pump is designed with an automatic air-release (AR) valve for use with chemicals that off-gas at room temperature, such as sodium hypochlorite. A polyvinyl chloride (PVC) head design minimizes internal space and eliminates areas where gas can accumulate. All ports slope upward to vent gas through the top of the pump and away from the polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE; Teflon) diaphragm. The PVC AR head can be specified on any of 500E series pump with capacties up to 9 gal/h (higher-capacity pumps purge gas naturally).

UNiGY pump-control system

The UNiGY pump-control system uses mathematical models that manage torque to produce precise flowrates and pressures for high-pressure positive-displacement process pumps. These models continually sense demand and energize the pump only when required. This lowers energy consumption, waste heat generation, and noise.

torque limiter

This torque limiter has been designed to provide horsepower control for mobile and industrial applications of P1/PD series pumps. This option allows the use of smaller, more energy-efficient prime movers. The limiter adjusts flow in the circuit to keep the prime mover from stalling under heavy loads, reducing the maximum horsepower available while handling the same load. Using the pump’s hanger angle, the limiter monitors both pressure and displacement. As pressure rises, flow is reduced according to the zero-adjustment spring rate of the limiter.

Westlock XR linear/rotary control monitor

The Westlock XR linear/rotary control monitor is a stand-alone field device that conveys critical information to process managers quickly and in a wide range of formats. Its patent-pending technology captures the variables required to develop a pressure-profiling baseline while the control monitor is operating. Designed to reduce nuisance alarms, the monitor’s logic provides more-meaningful alerts that enable users to respond to specific changes in process conditions. The monitor is calibrated, commissioned, signaled and maintained by an associated software package called XRa.

Model 8793 SideControl

The Model 8793 SideControl digital electropneumatic process controller can be mounted onto linear and rotary actuators, as well as the manufacturer’s process valves. The controller is packaged in a compact metal housing, and features easy start-up and a graphic display that is backlit for easy viewing. The unit has excellent control accuracy and dynamic properties that make it well-suited for decentralized process-control tasks in hygienic processing, water treatment, and steam and gas handling applications.

900 Control Station

The 900 Control Station touchscreen operator interface for the HC900 control system has new features that allow operators to monitor their processes more efficiently and reduce data entry error. The enhancements include thermal batch management and reporting, expanded remote access, and improved alarm monitoring and security. Process alarming is now integrated into the operator interface, which reduces installation time by eliminating the need to set up separate displays.

ControlMaster

To suit specific application requirements, each ControlMaster model can be scaled from basic to advanced by adding plug-and-play function keys. A full-color thin-film-transistor (TFT) liquid crystal display shows process information and is easy to use. Its menus and operator prompts are provided in full text. Other features include: dead-time compensation; adaptive, predictive, and dual-loop control; cascade, feed-forward and ratio control; totalization; and troubleshooting diagnostics. Communications options include Ethernet, Profibus and Modbus protocols.

DeltaV S-series platform

The DeltaV S-series platform includes major enhancements to I/O processing, operator displays, asset management, batch capability, and security that reduce complexity and simplify and speed commissioning. I/O options include wireless, HART, analog input (AI), analog output (AO), digital input (DI), digital output (DO), digital processor (DP), or thermocouple (T/C), among others. The I/O devices can be placed in a rack room, a remote location, a hazardous area, a safety system, or a harsh environment. Users can choose traditional wired, wireless, bussed, or electronic marshalling.

Simatic PCS 7 LAB

The Simatic PCS 7 LAB is designed for micro process engineering. The modules of this microreaction system can be combined to perform chemical synthesis in chemical, pharmaceutical and life sciences applications. The unit controls, records and logs the relevant process variables, such as pressure, temperature and flowrate. Technical information is stored with module parameter settings as symbols in a library. These symbols can be arranged and combined on a panel according to the plant configuration.
