JoAnn Lighty, who serves as Dean of the College of Engineering and as Professor of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering at Boise State University, sat down with this year's John M. Prausnitz AIChE Institute Lecturer Karen K. Gleason. Karen is the Alexander and I. Michael Kasser Professor of Chemical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the award lecture she delivered at this year's AIChE Annual Meeting was titled "From Chemical Engineering Fundamentals to the Commercialization of Vapor Deposited Polymers."

The Prausnitz AIChE Institute Lecture

The Prausnitz AIChE Institute lectureship is awarded to a distinguished AIChE member who has made significant contributions to chemical engineering in their field of specialization. The lectureship is endowed by the AIChE Foundation in honor of John Prausnitz, Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Univ. of California, Berkeley, who pioneered the field of engineering-oriented molecular thermodynamics.
