Nominations are due on February 15 for the 2019 Institute and Board of Directors' Awards. These AIChE high honors recognize contributions across the spectrum of chemical engineering achievement, and will be presented at the 2019 AIChE Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida.

The slate of Institute Awards includes a selection of prizes that celebrate contributions to industry and industrial practice. Institute Awards with an explicit industry emphasis include the Energy and Sustainability Award, the Industrial Progress Award (for early-career engineers), the Industrial R&D Award, the Industry Leadership Award, and the Lawrence B. Evans Award in Chemical Engineering Practice.

Know an engineer whose work deserves recognition?

Many of the Institute Award for achievements in industry were established within the past decade, and several of those award programs would benefit from a larger and more diverse slate of annual nominees. The Awards Committee is looking for champions from the AIChE community who are enthusiastic about the Institute’s major-award programs and interested in identifying outstanding candidates and preparing nomination packets for their colleagues, former students, or mentors in industry.

Nominations are filed using an online platform and are due February 15, 2019, for the awards to be presented at the 2019 Honors Ceremony in the fall.

Descriptions and eligibility requirements for each Institute Award — as well as instructions related to the online nomination process — are available here
