
One piece of career advice Sheri Oslick gives is this: Don’t delay being happy in your career. Finding the right path requires talking to a lot of people, and it also means listening to your instincts.
Oslick is a partner at the law firm McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert and Berghoff in Chicago. Her practice focuses on the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries and includes both patent prosecution and litigation. She received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in bioorganic chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She held postdoctoral fellowships in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Chicago.
