The Latest YPC News By: Elizabeth Guenther The AIChE Spring Meeting is rapidly approaching and we have a great set of programs and activities on the docket. This edition of the newsletter has details on what is going on at the Spring Meeting with YPC and even if you aren't able to make it to the Spring Meeting this year, it gives you a glimpse into some of the activities and the value you can get from attending the national meetings. Read about some of our co-sponsored technical programming (programming designed with young professionals in mind) in the Technical Programming Article. On Wednesday, April 2 of the meeting, YPs and Professional members will be participating in a high school outreach program at Tulane University. The Program will focus on Chemical Engineering and features former Astronaut Dr. Al Sacco. Read more about this exciting program here. And last but not least is our ever popular YP Mixer. The Mixer will be taking place Sunday evening 8:30 PM to 11 PM and there will be several divisions and forums in attendance to speak with and learn more about. With the new AIChE Community site set up, we can set up discussions through our YPC site - Looking forward to the Spring Meeting and seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones? Share your thoughts here. Looking for a way to attend a future meeting? Or a way to get a fellow YP to attend? You can bring a young colleague with you (or suggest that a co-worker bring you) for half price! Read more about this great program and see how you can integrate this into your company or university. And don't forget our S2YP Challenge - it is going on now for the Spring! Whether you make it to the Spring Meeting or not, the S2YP Challenge is a great way to connect with a local student chapter or your alma mater, speak with them about the industry, give career advice, or speak about your experiences with AIChE and be entered for a chance to win a gift card. Read more about this challenge here. We hope you enjoy this edition of the Newsletter and we hope to see you at Spring or hear from you on the next call!
