Heat-Formed Tubing and Hose

With a heat-formed shape, only one part is needed instead of separate pieces that must be bent around or threaded through other equipment and machinery. This reduces the need for extra fittings and clamps and minimizes spare-parts inventory, and virtually eliminates the potential for leaks. Installation is faster and easier because fewer connections are required, and the lack of cumbersome fittings and clamps allows these systems to be used in restricted-space applications.

SW574 FEP chemical/food quality hose

SW574 FEP chemical/food quality hose, the newest addition to the TITANFLEX family of hoses, is more flexible and requires less force to bend than competing products. Its specially engineered, lightweight, kink-resistant construction makes it easy to handle. The hose has a chemical- and heat-resistant high-grade ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) cover and a seamless white fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) tube capable of handling more than 99% of known industrial chemicals. It is available in 1/2-in. to 4-in. i.d. sizes.

Kwik-Klik plastic couplers

Kwik-Klik plastic couplers feature a spring-loaded socket that clicks when secure and a thumb disconnect button that is easy to activate. Interchangeable with standard connectors, these fittings have an unimpeded flow path and include both a lubricated Buna-N seal and stainless steel spring. The plug can rotate to prevent kinking, and color coding is available for identification. The connectors are available sizes ranging from 1/16-in. to 2/16-in. I.D., and 10/32-in. to 1/8-in. NPT.

Large-Diameter CPVC Pipe

Claiming an industry first, this manufacturer of chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) pipe has expanded its product line to include pipe in three larger-size diameters —18 in., 20 in. and 24 in. Available in Schedule 40 and 80 dimensions, these pipes exhibit the same physical properties for mechanical, thermal, electrical, and fire performance as their conventional pipes, which are fabricated in sizes starting at 1/4 in. The CPVC construction is lightweight and configurations are available in plain end or belled one end for easy, cost-effective installations.

Smart-Hose Safety System

In the event of a hose failure, this manufacturer’s Smart-Hose Safety System automatically shuts off flow in both directions, minimizing the potential for harmful spills and leaks. The system connects a coated cable within the hose bore to the valve plungers, wedges or flappers at hose end points. When conditions are normal, this cable acts as a compression spring to hold valves open. Instant thrust, due to coupling ejection, hose stretching or hose separation, is eliminated, allowing both valves to seat themselves.

Resflex Series resin-bonded filter cartridges

Resflex Series resin-bonded filter cartridges use a two-stage design to provide reliable, effective filtration. Their outer spiral prefilter wrap efficiently removes large particles and agglomerates, provides increased surface area, and intensifies cartridge strength, while eliminating residual debris common with conventional, machined resin-bonded cartridges. The filters’ inner layers provide superior smaller-particle removal. Units handle flowrates of 10 gal/min for each 10 in. of cartridge length.

Pillow Block Model 163

Pillow Block Model 163 is a rugged, easy-to-install bearing assembly designed to operate under high- or low-load conditions in moderate-speed applications. This heavy-duty unit is available in cast iron or stainless steel, with optional cast-iron split-angle housing. It is suitable for use in high-temperature applications, such as ovens, drag-line conveyors and dampers. It also performs well in wet applications, such as washdowns, and in submerged applications, such as plating tanks and industrial washers.

Model 700-TH-5-SS inline rotary mixer

The Model 700-TH-5-SS inline rotary mixer gently blends batches as large as 5.0 ft3 (142 L) with complete uniformity down to the 1-ppm level in under 3 min, and it is efficient across its entire usable capacity range of 0.25–5.0 ft3 (7.1–142 L). (Its standard weight capacity is 500 lb (226 kg) per batch.) The mixer is capable of evacuating the batch and leaving no residuals, and it can be sanitized rapidly without tools. It features a stationary inlet and outlet for inline operation, and a rotating drum with proprietary mixing flights that tumble, turn and fold material gently.

GT multi-pump dispensing system

The GT multi-pump dispensing system performs spill-free, environmentally safe transfer of virtually any chemical or liquid. It is designed to expand existing process capabilities and streamline operations involving multiple liquids. The dispensing system permits simultaneous multiple liquid-transfer stations using GoatThroat pumps to operate from a single shop line with only 2–4 psi. Because they pose no sparking hazard, the air-operated pumps are suitable for environments where electric pumps cannot be used.

Kenics KMX static mixer

The Kenics KMX static mixer has a patent-pending, ASME-certified design that generates superior mixing per unit length for laminar flow and high/low viscosity ratio applications. Its internal elements feature concave blade construction, which creates strong cross-stream mixing and flow splitting to achieve rapid blending. Sheets of low-viscosity additives are driven along the trough of each blade and abruptly sheared by strong cross-stream velocity gradients as they pass around the upstream surface. The mixer requires no external power or regular maintenance.
