LaserHeat Pinpoint Treating

LaserHeat Pinpoint Treating is a high-powered process that provides surface hardening to a localized area without altering the chemistry of the entire part. This allows users to focus on a specific critical-wear section and dramatically enhance the metallurgical properties in that area. Typical flame- and induction-hardening methods require the entire part to be treated, which calls for a high thermal input, creates distortion, impedes part-processing speeds, and hinders accuracy.

JLON PTFE stock shapes

Stock polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) shapes are available with specific properties for machining bearings, bushings, gaskets, seals, piston rings, and other wear components. This starch-based product is sustainable and performs better than older synthetic polymers. It can be made in many granule sizes and powders, and can be formulated with either potassium or sodium.

This patented line of microplates is constructed of Zeonor cycloolefin polymer (COP) and ZeonorFilm, and is intended for use in the life sciences research market in such applications as cellular assays, biochemical assays, compound storage, genomics and protein-protein interaction. The COP resin is used for the plate body and lid, and the film is used for the die-cut plate bottom.

StatSil Antimicrobial materials incorporate a silver-based antimicrobial additive into a silicone elastomer base to inhibit microbial growth. They are available in ready-to-use and customized formulations, can be used at low additive loadings, offer a broad spectrum of activity, and provide design flexibility. Silver has been shown to have anti­microbial activity against a broad spectrum of both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as mold and fungi.

PNM13319 polyamide non-halogenated flame-retardant

The latest version of PNM13319 polyamide non-halogenated flame-retardant (FR) concentrate features enhanced product versatility with the ability to tailor the resin more precisely to a customer’s specific application. This innovation allows processors to simplify their operations by adopting a masterbatch strategy. The resin is suitable for injection molding applications and nylon profile extrusions, and complies with the UL-94 V-0 test and V-1 and V-2 specifications.

Gugolz optical lapping pitch

Gugolz optical lapping (i.e., polishing) pitch is petroleum-free and made from all-natural wood resin. It helps maintain the purity of the polishing media and substrate, and comes in five hardness grades, ranging from very soft to very hard. The grades, whose melting points range from 52ºC to 87ºC, are fully compatible with each other, enabling users to achieve intermediate grades of hardness. The pitch is ready to use without screening, filtering or mixing in additives, and is suitable for blocking, lapping and polishing applications.

BrightMax white vinyl adhesive films

BrightMax white vinyl adhesive films are designed to be used with white clear-bottom microplates to maximize signals in luminescence assays. A split backing facilitates film application to either the top or bottom of the plate. The film provides a convenient medium for holding dried filters removed from the plate for microscopic examination and storage, such as in enzyme-linked immunospot techniques.

Intergard 1033 epoxy

Intergard 1033 is a two-component epoxy finish that has been developed specifically to maintain a clean appearance on steel or concrete surfaces in industrial environments. Its self-cleaning properties render it chalk white when exposed to sunlight, thus preventing the coating from yellowing and extending the life of the coated structure.
