inRAx single-slot, in-chassis line of computers

The full-function inRAx single-slot, in-chassis line of computers is now available with the version 2.05 upgrade. These integrated modules are less expensive than stand-alone options. They feature faster speed and improved capabilities because they are tied directly into the backplane of the controller. The modules serve as an add-on calculator to the processor without burdening the programmable logic controller with complicated flow algorithms. The upgrade’s features include a Modbus dictionary that acts as a data index, multi-meter runs, and data archival/event logging.

Halar true union ball valve

The Halar true union ball valve can operate as a manual valve or be paired with pneumatic or electric actuators. Its design allows for flow and pressure in either direction, and eliminates the stress inherent to a ball secured only at the top. It is constructed of the most corrosive-resistant thermoplastic material available — a 1:1 alternating copolymer of ethylene and chlorotrifluoroethylene (CTFE), containing about 80% CTFE. This is the best material for handling high concentrations of sodium hypochlorite and 98+% sulfuric acid.

Multichannel Verification System

The multichannel verification system (MVS) was developed to streamline the verification of automated liquid-handler performance. Rapid and easy-to-use, the instrument provides National Institute of Standards and Technologies (NIST)-traceable accuracy and precision data that document the volume-dispensing performance of each channel of an automated liquid handler. New system enhancements facilitate in-process quality-control assessment and minimize manual intervention during volume verification protocols, adding convenience and saving time.

KE2004 Series of liquid injection molding system silicones

The KE2004 Series of liquid injection molding system (LIMSTM) silicones combines a low hardness with enhanced physical properties and improved processing control. Despite their low hardness, these silicones have high tear strength and viscosity, resulting in strong products with a soft feel. Their high tear strength allows for demolding of parts — particularly those with thin walls — without tearing and creating scrap.

LKN series metering pumps

Motor-driven, mechanically actuated diaphragm metering pumps in the LKN series feature a maximum capacity of 114 gal/h, and a maximum pressure of 225 psi and both stroke and speed adjustment. Available in a wide range of materials, the pumps are rugged and capable of dry running and self-priming, and are suitable for almost any chemical injection or metering application. LKN series pumps can be mounted to a variety of NEMA motors and their small footprint permits installation in the tightest of areas.

SSC-6MO (UNS N08367) superaustenitic stainless steel

SSC-6MO (UNS N08367) is a superaustenitic stainless steel containing in excess of 6% molybdenum. This alloy was developed for corrosion-resistant applications where conventional stainless steels fail because of chloride pitting and crevice and stress-corrosion cracking. It can be used as a cost-effective substitute for nickel alloys, including Alloys G, 20, 825, 625 and C276.

Songflame YA 010 and YA 020 halogen-free flame retardants

Songflame YA 010 and YA 020 are halogen-free flame retardants based on phosphine oxides that are designed to be reactive with a resin’s backbone (principally epoxies) to give long-term stability. Their key advantages include being environmentally safe, non-toxic and non-corrosive. Songflame TP100 is a halogen-free flame retardant based on phenol/bi-phenol polyphosphate, and is suited to a wide range of thermoplastic resins, particularly polycarbonate, polycarbonate blends with acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), and a wide range of polyesters.

waterMONITOR submersible datalogging level transducer

The waterMONITOR submersible datalogging level transducer takes measurements in an absolute reference pressure format. The sealed reference design simplifies maintenance, since no vent tube or associated desiccant filter is required to guard against moisture incursion. This transducer is capable of being modified into a baroMONITOR, which collects corresponding barometric pressure readings that can compensate for errors in absolute level measurements caused by changes in barometric pressure.

Cardinal pumps

Cardinal pumps meet extreme temperature requirements and are rated for continuous duty operating temperature ranges from –40ºF to 212ºF. The pumps are capable of permitting thermosiphon flow when the pump is not operating, thus allowing natural convection even when the pump is off. A rugged split-casing design with heavy-duty class 30 cast iron is used for the pump casting, motor enclosures, impellers and volutes. Large thrust-face-sleeve bearings also extend life, minimize wear and reduce maintenance.

T-Series membrane cassettes

T-Series membrane cassettes are constructed with high-performance materials that reduce extractables to deliver high-purity biological solutions. Reducing the amount of rinsing volumes required prior to cassette use, this feature saves time and material cots. The cassettes assure effective mass transfer of proteins, which is critical for biotech manufacturers given their significant cost. High-yield Omega membranes and a polypropylene screen increase processing flux rates and product recovery. The cassette has deep notches to assist fitting into holders.
