EP19HT adhesive/sealant

The EP19HT adhesive/sealant is a storage-stable, single-component, low-viscosity system that cures readily at elevated temperatures to a tough, chemical-resistant, clear amber thermoset plastic. It contains no solvents or diluents, and cures in 1 h at 250°F; cure time can be reduced by raising the temperature to 325–350_ F. The material has a viscosity of 500–600 cP at 75°F, a volume resistivity of more than 1,015 O-cm, a tensile strength exceeding 10,000 psi, and a heat deflection temperature of more than 280_ F.

Experion LS control system

The Experion LS control system is small and flexible, yet has the power and reliability of a distributed control system (DCS). It manages all continuous process control applications and optimizes batch and sequence-oriented applications, such as those typically found at specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and consumer goods producers. It is scalable, and operates from a single PC or as a controller for multiple stations, which lowers lifecycle costs for smaller manufacturing sites.

HPR Series reactors

HPR Series reactors enable laboratory researchers to perform pressurized chemical reactions, including high-pressure chemical synthesis and process development. The reactors range in size from 50 mL to 8 L, and can be operated at pressures up to 10,000 psi and temperatures up to 350°C. All high-pressure components are American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)-rated and protected by a rupture disc for safe operation. They provide optimal mixing by using a magnetically coupled impeller.

Intelligent Interface Unit (IIU)

The intelligent interface unit (IIU) integrates corrosion-monitoring transmitters with either a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system or distributed control system (DCS) through Modbus or object linking and embedding for process control (OLE for Process Control. or OPC). It operates inexpensively, and works with the manufacturer’s Microcor, Quicksand and Corrater corrosion-monitoring transmitters. It reads real-time corrosion rates, erosion rates, and pitting tendency in water systems.

Traceable Refrigerator/Freezer Plus thermometer

The Traceable Refrigerator/Freezer Plus thermometer is protected by a bottle to insulate the sensor from rapid temperature changes, such as the opening of a refrigerator door. The bottle measures 1.0 in. by 2.5 in., and is filled with nontoxic glycol. The sensor accurately monitors temperatures in freezers, water baths, heating blocks, incubators and refrigerators. It fulfills all U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) thermometer and vaccine temperature requirements.

Workhorse Series Heating/Cooling Unit

Workhorse Series industrial/commercial heating and cooling equipment features direct-fired heaters combined with evaporative coolers in a single unit. Its patented FreshWater slinger-wheel technology evenly distributes atomized water across all of the air inlets to ensure efficient cooling. It operates without traditional evaporative-cooling pads, which sometimes dry slowly, possibly exposing the process to airborne pathogens, mold spores and odors. The system can handle flowrates from 6,000 to 75,000 ft3/min, and can heat up to 6,500,000 Btu.

Loctite 5510 adhesive/sealant and 5570 adhesive

Loctite 5510 adhesive/sealant and 5570 adhesive are highly resistant to vibration, movement and impact. These permanently elastic, primerless formulations bond and seal a wide variety of dissimilar substrates, including metals, glass, nylon and plastics. The adhesives use the manufacturer’s FlexTec technology and have a one-component design. They are odorless, noncorrosive, and free of solvents, isocyanites, silicones and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). They require only ambient moisture to cure and achieve functional strength after 24 h.

SelRO nanofiltration membranes

SelRO nanofiltration membranes provide chemical and thermal stability to satisfy requirements of processes involving high or low pH, high temperature, or organic solvent media. Other nanofiltration membranes are limited to aqueous applications within a pH range of 2 to 11. These restrictions are insufficient for pharmaceutical and other fine-chemical applications where aggressive cleaning measures are necessary. SelRO membranes are stable in both acids and bases, and can be operated over the full pH range of 0–14.

Loctite Freeze & Release spray-on lubricant

Loctite Freeze & Release is a low-viscosity, spray-on lubricant designed to shock-freeze metal parts, allowing lubricating oils to penetrate into rust layers. It freezes seized and rusted parts to –45ºF, causing hairline cracks form in the rust layer as the metal contracts. After one to two minutes, the assembly is easy to dismantle. Available in a 400-mL aerosol can, this product eliminates the need for cutting torches and die grinders.

SFT-20 liquid carbon dioxide pump

The SFT-20 liquid carbon dioxide pump delivers a flowrate of 200 mL/min without the need for external cooling baths. Instead, it relies on high-capacity Peltier cooling to stabilize pump head temperature, which maintains highly efficient compression even under high-flow conditions. The pump employs dual sapphire syringe-pump technology to rapidly and accurately produce pressures up to 10,000 psi, making it suitable for use in supercritical fluid applications. The SFT-20 is available both as a stand-alone pump and as part of the SFT-2000 supercritical fluid extractor.
