Chlor*ion meter

The Chlor*ion meter has an internal ion-specific electrode that digitally monitors surfaces for salt corrosion, instead of an external electrode that is subject to field conditions. Since digital tests do not require a glass titrator tube, the Chlor*ion meter has a lower cost per test. All readings are recorded electronically for lab-quality accuracy and cannot be changed or deleted by the operator. Data can be transferred to a spreadsheet via a USB connection.

RO Desalination Plants

These pre-engineered packaged desalination plants are available in base sizes of up to 2 million gal/d, and modular building blocks can be added to expand plant capacity to as high as 50 million gal/d. This reverse osmosis (RO) seawater processing system combines a lightweight, large-diameter pressure vessel with the manufacturer’s MegaMagnum PLUS seawater technology. One MegaMagnum element measuring 18 in. dia. by 61 in. long provides an economic alternative to the traditional configuration that requires seven standard 8-in. by 40-in. elements.

RNS Series and RWS Series vortex steam flowmeters

RNS Series (insertion) and RWS Series (wafer) vortex steam flowmeters are designed for measuring noncondensing steam and saturated process steam at pressures up to 150 psi. They are suitable for use in boiler-monitoring and energy-related applications, as well as for building and facilities management. The meters have no moving parts and are virtually maintenance-free. The loop-powered devices use standard HART communications protocols for easy field programming and system integration.

CPVC Fire Sprinkler Piping Installation Guide

The “CPVC Fire Sprinkler Piping Installation Guide” is a 72-page comprehensive printed resource of engineering and design data covering installation of chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) fire sprinkler systems. The guide is designed to go hand-in-hand with the company’s CPVC fire sprinkler pipe, which is produced in compliance with American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards.

PC/104-Plus watchdog timer board

The PC/104-Plus watchdog timer board monitors the operation of an application program, as well as its operating system, and will automatically initiate a system reset in the event of a lockup. The board can monitor and control many hardware parameters, including temperature, voltage, fan speed, humidity, etc. It is designed for use in industrial automation, asset management and tracking, embedded original equipment manufacturer (OEM), and temperature measurement applications.

ChemLogix SOCMA Partnership

ChemLogix LLC has formed a partnership with the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) to provide SOCMA members with logistics services that can significantly reduce costs and improve control of domestic and international shipping operations. The ChemLogix Load Center helps small and mid-sized chemical shippers reduce freight costs by taking advantage of competitive pricing that is normally reserved for larger shippers. Using its freight database containing more than 9,000 carriers, ChemLogix secures best-in-class agreements based on each shipper's specific lane, equipment

EP19HT adhesive/sealant

The EP19HT adhesive/sealant is a storage-stable, single-component, low-viscosity system that cures readily at elevated temperatures to a tough, chemical-resistant, clear amber thermoset plastic. It contains no solvents or diluents, and cures in 1 h at 250°F; cure time can be reduced by raising the temperature to 325–350_ F. The material has a viscosity of 500–600 cP at 75°F, a volume resistivity of more than 1,015 O-cm, a tensile strength exceeding 10,000 psi, and a heat deflection temperature of more than 280_ F.

Experion LS control system

The Experion LS control system is small and flexible, yet has the power and reliability of a distributed control system (DCS). It manages all continuous process control applications and optimizes batch and sequence-oriented applications, such as those typically found at specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and consumer goods producers. It is scalable, and operates from a single PC or as a controller for multiple stations, which lowers lifecycle costs for smaller manufacturing sites.

HPR Series reactors

HPR Series reactors enable laboratory researchers to perform pressurized chemical reactions, including high-pressure chemical synthesis and process development. The reactors range in size from 50 mL to 8 L, and can be operated at pressures up to 10,000 psi and temperatures up to 350°C. All high-pressure components are American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)-rated and protected by a rupture disc for safe operation. They provide optimal mixing by using a magnetically coupled impeller.

Intelligent Interface Unit (IIU)

The intelligent interface unit (IIU) integrates corrosion-monitoring transmitters with either a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system or distributed control system (DCS) through Modbus or object linking and embedding for process control (OLE for Process Control. or OPC). It operates inexpensively, and works with the manufacturer’s Microcor, Quicksand and Corrater corrosion-monitoring transmitters. It reads real-time corrosion rates, erosion rates, and pitting tendency in water systems.
