Flexible Screw Conveyor

This flexible screw conveyor uses a spiral screw powered by a direct-drive electric motor to move dry bulk solids at high throughput. Its design features fewer parts subject to wear, which reduces manufacturing costs and provides greater flexibility in adapting to new applications. Its only moving part is the spiral screw that rotates inside a sealed tube to move and homogenize material. Faster rotation of the spiral screw increases capacity, allowing the use of a smaller conveyor to handle larger loads, which saves on floor space and reduces equipment investment costs.

Bench-Scale System

The components of this bench-scale system are designed for the pretreatment of cellulosic biomass that is used as feedstock to produce ethanol and renewable chemicals. This equipment can process up to 11 kg/h of materials, and is a suitable replacement for batch steam guns commonly used by researchers in universities and technology-development companies. The system has a 5-cm-dia. screwfeeder and a reactor that measures 15 cm dia. by 1.4 m long. Its wetted pressure components are made of corrosion-resistant Alloy 825 and are capable of operating at 20 bar at up to 215_C.

VectorWall mixing checkerwall system

The VectorWall mixing checkerwall system improves the operation of tubesheets in reaction furnaces and boilers by eliminating dead zones, which increases the effective volume of the furnace or boiler and improves its overall combustion efficiency. The system is an improvement on the manufacturer’s existing HexWall system, using the add-on Vector Tile to create a swirling vortex in the reaction chamber rather than the individual flows within the boxes of the checkerwall. The tile also protects the tubesheet refractory from direct flame impingement and hot spots.

Hopper Separators

These hopper separators can be combined with the manufacturer’s line of CV blowers to fulfill almost any central vacuum system need. The units have self-cleaning cartridge filtration for large or heavy particles, and three options for the disposal of collected debris: a drop-out collection container, a gravity discharge valve, and a universal flange of either 150-mm or 250-mm diameter for use with a variety of discharge valves. The separators can be equipped with an electro-pneumatic reverse-purge filter-cleaning system.

Plastic Bulk Containers

These custom-dimension, cut-and-weld plastic bulk containers allow customers to match the container size to the needs of the application. Standard-sized plastic bulk bins with widths ranging from 12 in. to 48 in. are built out to a user-defined length and height. This eliminates wasted space, optimizes warehouse space usage, and reduces transportation costs. The containers can be stacked, stored and shipped the same way as standard-sized containers. Customization options include drop doors, open walls, and solid walls on any or all sides of the containers, and in any combination.

Spirostore silos

These flexible Spirostore silos provide quick, efficient and safe storage of bulk solids and ingredients. They are made of a durable and flexible polyester fabric that is supported by a steel frame. The silos can store up to 7,000 ft3 of dry bulk material and support weights up to 90,000 lb. They can be custom-manufactured in user-selected shapes, sizes and fabrics to meet space and discharge requirements.

CB-2500 Collapsible Bin Dispenser

The CB-2500 fully automatic dispenser handles collapsible-type bins, such as those used by the food industry. A stack of collapsed bins is conveyed into the machine, where air-operated clamps enter the voids of the second bin, holding the second bin and the remaining stack of bins aloft while the bottom bin is lowered and discharged onto the chain conveyor. The dispenser can discharge two bins per minute, and can be built to discharge a bin out of three sides. It has all-welded construction and features structural steel components that provide strength and durability.

SingleMultiple single-component dispenser

The SingleMultiple single-component dispenser can simultaneously allot single-component materials multiple times, and at varying ratios. For example, if a wiring harness needs to be potted in two separate places, this dispenser can function on both sides at the same time. Hence, capital equipment expenditures are reduced, because this one unit can replace several machines. Other benefits include reduced labor, waste, material and production costs.

HSA-100 Mill

The HSA-100, a custom dry-grinding mill that uses the manufacturer’s Attritor technology, has been designed specifically for the fine grinding of calcium carbonate for power plants. It grinds materials that are as large as about 250 mm down to a final product in the range of 2–4 mm. It has a gross tank volume of 85 gal, a media volume of 38 gal, and a 300-hp drive. Its capacity, depending on the composition of the limestone feed, is 1,000 lb/h or more. Materials are charged into the mill at the top and discharged from the bottom by centrifugal force.

Self-Dumping Hopper

This self-dumping hopper comes in two capacities — 1 yd3 and 2 yd3 — and can handle a full range of dry dusts, including those that need to be reclaimed or recycled after the collection process. Its assembly is designed to provide easy dust disposal while protecting against unwanted dust leakage between the collector and hopper, which are connected by a slide gate and a flexible quick-disconnect hose. The hopper lid is fastened with rubber clamps that create a gasketed seal to prevent the escape of dust.
