NAG C Library of numerical algorithms for C and C++

The NAG C Library of numerical algorithms for C and C++ has been expanded with the addition of more than 150 new functions — it now contains over 1,300 user-callable functions that are widely used for chemical application development. The functions can be used in a wide range of operating systems, languages, environments and packages, such as Excel, Java, MATLAB, and .NET/C#. Enhancements have been made in the areas of statistics, optimization, linear algebra, ordinary differential equations, regression, random numbers, sorting, and special functions.

DEACOM Integrated Accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software System

The DEACOM Integrated Accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software System is now available as a mobile application. It allows users to manage sales orders, purchase orders, production jobs, and customer relationship management (CRM) data via any smartphone device in real time. Productivity and profitability can be maximized for such functions as inventory management, environmental reporting, labor tracking, purchasing, and more.

CHEMCAD version 6.3

Version 6.3 of CHEMCAD adds comprehensive and intuitive features to the software’s existing process simulation tools. This latest release has the capacity to handle up to 2,000 discrete components in one simulation. Composite curve plots for heat exchangers have been enhanced, as has the CC-THERM heat exchanger sizing module. This version allows network administrators to perform update installations without prompting the user to take action. A new recycle cut-stream algorithm improves convergence. Multiple instances of CHEMCAD can be loaded via a component object model (COM).

Chemical Reaction Engineering Module

The Chemical Reaction Engineering Module for the developer’s simulation platform creates a single environment where engineers may obtain accurate studies of material transport and chemical reactions performed under many different operating conditions. Its easy-to-use, customizable interfaces define chemical reactions, mass and energy transport, and porous-media flow parameters.

ScadaMobile application for the iPhone/iPod

The ScadaMobile application for the iPhone/iPod gives engineers access to live process control variables and the ability to modify these data remotely. It creates a secure wireless interface between an iPhone and an existing 802.11 wireless network on the plant floor, enabling the phone to read Modbus TCP/IP and Ethernet/IP process control variables from programmable automation controllers (PACs) and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) throughout the plant. These live values are displayed in stylized lists and include user-established variance allowances and alarms.

Formulator Series apps

Formulator Series apps host hundreds of formulas, graphics, calculations, federal and state regulatory codes, and industrial requirements on an iPhone or iPod Touch. The basic edition contains about 100 general formulas and calculations. Specialty packages are available for a wide range of disciplines, such as environmental engineering and hydraulic engineering.

BambooPM

BambooPM is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) project management program that allows project team members to communicate and collaborate worldwide, without requiring installation, configuration or management of in-house servers. This monthly subscription service is based on the company’s existing Project Management Central software for in-house MS SharePoint installations. Its interface allows users anywhere to join projects in less than a minute and access the program’s tracking, organization, maintenance and status reporting features.

Instrument Control Framework

Instrument Control Framework is a software component that makes it easier for third-party software to control the manufacturer’s liquid chromatography systems in chromatographic data systems and workstations. It contains Agilent 1200 Series LC RC.NET instrument drivers, which eliminate the need for software developers to write their own drivers using low-level instrument control codes. Instead, developers may write their own adaptor to connect their software with the Instrument Control Framework to gain full control of instruments in this series.

Green Product Analyzer

The Green Product Analyzer provides data that are useful for assessing the sustainability footprint of chemical products, as well as for the selection of safer and more environmentally friendly products. The system has access to chemical profiles and substance data, which can be used to compare products by a variety of parameters, including toxicity, environmental impact, application, and cost. Users may set criteria to calculate ratings and to group products into categories, which can then be used to make direct and meaningful comparisons.

GRAMS spectroscopy software

GRAMS spectroscopy software helps in the visualizing, processing, reporting and managing of spectroscopy data. Version 9.0 is comprised of complementary and fully integrated applications and modules centered on the core GRAMS/AI spectroscopy data processing and reporting software. It has advanced processing routines, as well as data comparison and visualization features. It can handle data from any analytical instrument. Its intuitive and simplified workflows enable scientists to more easily and rapidly access data and make more informed decisions about the results generated.
