Advanced Nanofiber Filtration Technology

Advanced Nanofiber Filtration Technology for dust-collection cartridge filters helps reduce emissions by 50% or more over standard cellulose filters, providing a cleaner breathing zone for workers and reducing facility maintenance. It features advanced surface-loading capabilities that result from a mesh of 70–150-nm fibers that trap dust particles on the filter’s surface, where they are easily released during the cleaning cycle.

HT Turbine Agitator

Suitable for harsh, demanding water- and wastewater-treatment operating environments, the HT Turbine Agitator can handle many applications, including aeration, sludge conditioning, chemical make-up and disinfection. These agitators are available with output speeds from 5 to 350 rpm and right-angle gear drive sizes from 1 to 1,000 hp. Their unique design results in high strength, low wear, quiet operation and minimal maintenance requirements.

Electrodialysis Reversal (EDR) Membrane Desalination

Updated electrodialysis reversal (EDR) desalination technology removes salt, radium, arsenic, perchlorates and other potentially harmful contaminants from tough-to-treat well and surface waters. Using an electrochemical separation process that allows selective passage of ions in solutions, this EDR system produces high-quality water for a variety of industrial applications, such as cooling tower and boiler make-up water.

Reference Guide: Your Building Blocks for Success

A newly updated reference guide, “Your Building Blocks for Success,” provides an overview of food-grade and NSF-certified chlor-alkali products — caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, sodium hypochlorate and spent sulfuric acid. It addresses the applications, production, distribution and transportation of these products. It also describes BayCare, a multiphase, comprehensive product stewardship program designed to reduce environmental impact, improve process safety and foster positive relationships with neighbors in plant communities.

ECOCYL OSQ specialty gas cylinder

The ECOCYL OSQ specialty gas cylinder uses negative gas pressure to protect sensitive environmental monitoring devices. Such instruments are susceptible to damage from the positive gas pressure often associated with conventional cylinders. This specialty gas cylinder has an integrated cylinder valve and pressure regulator, and its flow control valve is covered by a protective cowling, which makes it safer and easier to handle than cylinders requiring gas-handling equipment.

PPMonitor

The PPMonitor continuously detects, measures and records a variety of parameters, including temperature, humidity, formaldehyde, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, ozone, ammonia and total volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The monitor’s real-time functions provide immediate warnings of the presence of harmful gases in the air. It communicates via the Zigbee wireless mesh network, which can be extended easily by adding repeater nodes or additional PPMonitor units.

Air-Monitoring System

The open-path Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) air-monitoring system simultaneously detects, identifies and measures a wide range of contaminants at levels from percent to parts per billion. Each system includes an interferometer that is equipped with user-selected beamsplitters and detectors. The analyzer is coupled to a control PC via standard ribbon cable or long-range fiber optic link. A continuous sampling path up to 1,000 m long is standard; for extended sample paths, the FTIR can be mounted to a rugged 10-in. Newtonian telescope supported by a tripod.

RotaBed fluidized-bed gas-cleaning system

RotaBed fluidized-bed gas-cleaning technology controls pulp bleach plant emissions by removing fugitive chlorine and chlorine dioxide, which are created during pulp bleaching. The system creates a fluidized gas/liquid mixture to clean 15,000,000 ft3/h of contaminated air at or below all mandated compliance levels. This advanced technology is widely used for gas absorption and cleaning where other designs may plug. It is designed for clean-in-place (CIP) operation to maximize performance with minimal downtime.

Model 602 sludge depth meter

The Model 602 sludge depth meter measures the level of sludge in dissolved air floatation (DAF) tanks, sequencing batch reactors (SBRs), inclined plate clarifiers, tanks, and clarifiers. Its probe is constructed of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), eliminating corrosion as a process issue. Analog, digital and relay outputs are available.

SafetyNet functional safety system

This brochure provides a complete description of the SafetyNet functional safety system. It explains SafetyNet’s unique approach to safety functionality, how it meets the requirements of IEC 61508 and 61511 for SIL 2 certification, its applicability to emergency shutdown and other applications, and its integration with the MOST process automation platform. It also highlights the components in the SafetyNet platform, including controllers, I/O, power supplies, carriers, field terminals, etc.
