CINTAC Advanced Automation System

The heart of the CINTAC Advanced Automation System is a rugged, field-proven rack-and-pinion actuator with ISO 5211 interface for compatibility with any quarter-turn valve. Position sensing is done by a contact-free magnetic resistive sensor with no mechanical parts or connections to wear out or bind. The unit is completely sealed and protected from corrosion and short-circuiting due to moisture. Leak-free integral air porting further improves the unit’s reliability by eliminating crimping or bending of tubing, leaking fittings, and worn or broken hoses.

Type 57 butterfly valve

New design features of the Type 57 butterfly valve include a flange stopper, which prevents overcompression in the valve liner, and a molded body absorption channel. These features work together to eliminate seat compression from effective stem torque, resulting in higher cycle life. A spherical disc provides increased flow characteristics and is less intrusive to piping systems. And, the valve is produced with the first all-plastic gear operator, Plasgear, which is standard on 8-in. through 14-in. models and an option on other sizes.

Type 375 true union ball valve

The Type 375 true union ball valve features an ergonomically designed grooved handle and notched union nut that make for easy gripping during installation and use. Its floating ball design provides leakproof closure, and the full cross-section results in minimal pressure loss. Available in polyvinyl chloride (PVC), chlorinated PVC (CPVC) and natural polypropylene (PP-n), the valve exhibits excellent chemical and corrosion resistance, and is pressure-rated to 225 psi at 73°F. The PVC/CPVC models range in size from 3/8 in. to 6 in.

Silbrade silicone hoses

Silbrade silicone hoses are reinforced with open-mesh polyester braiding so they can handle high-pressure applications. This construction allows the hoses to be used in tight, restricted spaces without impediments to flow. The hoses handle steady or fluctuating temperatures between –80°F and 350°F (–62°C and 176°C). Each hose is made from FDA-sanctioned ingredients and is listed by the National Sanitation Foundation for use with food equipment materials (NSF 51).

SDX V spray-drying nozzles

SDX V spray-drying nozzles include check-valve variation, allowing drip-free shut-off and preventing product loss and and the need for extensive clean-up. They are suitable for the production of pharmaceuticals, personal-care products and chemicals, and are precision-manufactured from stainless steel for durability and wear resistance. The nozzles are designed for quick and easy installation and rapid changeover of wear components to ensure process continuity. They are available as original equipment for dryers and can also be installed as an in-service upgrade.

AdvantaFlex tubing

AdvantaFlex weldable and heat-sealable tubing is manufactured from biopharmaceutical-grade thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) and is designed for use in high-purity fluid-transfer processes, such as sterile filling, vaccine production, cell media and harvesting, bioreactors, high-purity water transfer, and filtration. It can also be used on equipment in pharmaceutical sampling and delivery systems, peristaltic pump transfer systems, and pharmaceutical production and processing. Featuring low permeability, the tubes can withstand repeated cycles of compression and release.

Stargate-O-Port slide-gate valve

The Stargate-O-Port slide-gate valve (or through-port valve) features a well-guided blade — with a hole in the middle — passing through both ends of the valve body. This design offers several advantages. Foreign matter does not get trapped in the bottom of the valve or jammed between the gate and the body. This prevents seat damage so that the valve always seats and seals well. The valve has a class VI shut-off, independent of the pressure differential between upstream and downstream side. Over 97% of the valve’s body thickness is solid material, resulting in a very stiff valve body.

PTFE Components

The PTFE Components line of seats, seals, gaskets and washers is engineered from various formulations of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), perfluoroalkoxy (PFA), and modified PTFE (TFM) to achieve the specific combination of lubricity, wear, and heat- and chemical-resistance properties required for an application. These products can be machined, die-cut, and stamped to meet original equipment manufacturer requirements for use in compressors, instruments, pipelines, pumps and valves.

PluraSilver Silver Epoxy Paste Dispenser

The PluraSilver dual-component silver epoxy paste-dispensing machine apportions precise amounts of mixed silver epoxy, eliminating costly waste and the need for excess raw materials. The manufacturer’s specially designed fittings ensure that no leaking takes place, and provide minimal clearance agitation in the space where the tank agitators fit with the contours of the tanks. This dispenser is typically used in the solar energy industry.

Guide to Pipeline Strainers

The “Guide to Pipeline Strainers” describes how these “coarse filters” protect expensive pipeline-system components from damage by removing particulate matter from the process media. The publication provides an overview of various available simplex, duplex, Y-type and automatic self-cleaning straining models, along with either a photograph or cut-away illustration. Standard features and available options are presented in easy-to-read tables, and a selection chart for each model shows available sizes, materials of construction, end connections, seals, and pressure ratings.
