AccelMax SC Masterbatches

AccelMax SC masterbatches are high-strength color concentrates designed to offer loadings of up to 80–90% and very low letdown ratios for many applications. They are suitable for polyamide (PA), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), PBT/ABS blends, and ABS/polycarbonate blends. The colorants, which are supplied as pellets, are available in a range of standard colors, and can be color-matched and compounded in any quantity required.

Flexane Fast-cure Rubber Repair Putty

Flexane fast-cure rubber repair putty is a urethane compound that bonds to rubber, metal, concrete, fiberglass and wood and cures to a tough, medium-hard rubber. Tear resistance is typically 265 pli (ASTM D624); maximum elongation is typically 450% (ASTM D412). Packaged in no-mess, resealable 400-mL cartridges, the putty is mixed as dispensed from hand-held manual or pneumatic dispensers with static mixing nozzles, or it can be applied with a trowel. It has a working time of 8 min, is tack-free in just 30 min, and is ready for light-duty service in 3 h or less.

NexPrene 9000 series of thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs)

Nine materials, ranging in hardness from 40 Shore A to 50 Shore D, make up the NexPrene 9000 series of thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs). A proprietary curing technology results in materials that offer processing and performance advantages for products that require soft-touch surfaces in bright colors. The materials are non-hygroscopic, so they do not need to be dried prior to processing by injection molding or extrusion. A wide range of colors can be achieved with low pigment loadings, including some pastel shades that might not be possible with conventional TPVs.

Bioscience Laboratory Products Catalog

Tools for accelerating, simplifying and enhancing research are presented in this catalog. It includes detailed product and application sections for protein research, drug discovery, laboratory water systems and life science filtration, as well as a technical handbooks section with applications, protocols and troubleshooting information.

Biological Research Products Catalog

Over 2,500 items designed for genomic, molecular biology, cell culture and immunological research are included in this catalog, which provides product descriptions as well as use and care information. Among the new products featured are flasks treated to optimize cell attachment and growth, microarray slides, sample plates, and bottles with vented closures.

ActiFlow smart bulk-solids activator

The ActiFlow smart bulk-solids activator is a non-product-contact device that prevents bridging and ratholing of cohesive bulk materials in stainless steel hoppers. It eliminates the need for mechanical agitators with secondary motors and gearboxes, as well as the need for flexible side-wall agitation devices or aeration pads. The self-tuning algorithm in the control module continuously monitors the system and adjusts the frequency and amplitude to maintain flow.

The FlowCytoPrep5000 (FCP5000) sample-preparation system

The FlowCytoPrep5000 (FCP5000) sample-preparation system is designed to allow automated sampling, automated sample preparation, automated injection, and real-time flow cytometry analysis. It is ideal for advanced cell-culture monitoring and bioreactor control in both R&D and manufacturing applications. The system interfaces with existing commercially available flow cytometers and has an on-board computer with user-friendly software. Its patented micro-chamber reactor technology was developed at the Univ. of Minnesota’s Biotechnology Institute.

CEL-620B sound meter

The CEL-620B wide-range (20–140 dB) integrating sound meter features real-time octave band frequency analysis from 16 Hz to 16 kHz, along with a full-color liquid crystal display that presents overall noise levels in numerical and graphical formats. It is designed to digitally measure sound levels in factories, refineries, construction sites and other industrial workplaces where noise can be a problem. It displays the previous minute’s readings, allowing the user to view trends and pinpoint significant events when levels rise above background levels.

Biofuels Analysis brochure

For laboratories already engaged in biofuels analysis or for those just starting up in this rapidly growing industry, PerkinElmer has developed a new brochure to help outline and navigate the range of analysis tools available to test biofuels according to required methods and to ensure regulatory compliance. The “Biofuels Analysis” brochure outlines the standards required to meet ASTM, EN and other compliance requirements for biodiesel and ethanol used for fuel.

Choosing the Right Instrument Vendor for Complete, Cost-Effective Compliance

Titled “Choosing the Right Instrument Vendor for Complete, Cost-Effective Compliance,” this 19-page publication provides a thorough understanding of compliance basics to help laboratory managers, chief scientists and regulatory specialists determine the real value of an instrument vendor’s compliance capabilities and better evaluate their spectroscopy systems.
