Ultrasonic Flow Measurement Devices

This new family of ultrasonic flow-measurement devices includes two portable models (Portaflow 220 and 330) and two fixed-installation models (Ultraflow 3000 and 4000). Both types display instantaneous and totalized fluid flowrate and velocity data, and can be installed quickly without interrupting the process. Data can be downloaded directly to a computer or printer, or stored in the instrument’s memory and downloaded later. The instruments are supplied with two types of transducer sets to accommodate pipe sizes up to 78 in. o.d.

FPI Mag electromagnetic flowmeter

The FPI Mag electromagnetic flowmeter is the successor to the company’s widely used Multi-Mag insertion flowmeter, which is said to be the industry’s only multi-electrode, hot-tap, full-profile insertion flowmeter that can deliver a continuous total flow profile similar to that of a full-bore mag meter. Its multi-electrode sensor design compensates for variable flow profiles, including swirl, turbulence, and low-flow conditions. Multiple electrodes placed across the entire sensor body continuously measure and report the average flowrate over the full pipe diameter.

Optiwave 6300 C radar level sensor

The Optiwave 6300 C radar level sensor accurately measures the level of powder, granulates, and bulk solids in silos, hoppers, and bulk storage containers, and on conveyor belts. Its versatile design makes it suitable for a variety of industries, such as minerals and mining, food, chemicals, pulp and paper, and power. Because the innovative drop shape of the plastic antenna generates a smaller beam angle (2 deg.) than conventional antennas, an antenna aiming kit to amplify the reflected signal is unnecessary.

Packer

This device gently vibrates bulk-shipping containers, such as flexible bags and intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), to increase the bulk density of their contents and improve efficiency in packaging, material handling, and warehouse operations. It applies linear vibration from underneath the bulk container, which creates a fluidizing action that densifies the material by removing air from in between the particles, while protecting particle integrity, shape, and size.

SCC-15-B screen classifying cutter

The SCC-15-B screen classifying cutter reduces hard, soft, and fibrous materials into particles of controlled sizes at high rates and with minimal fines. The proprietary rotor, consisting of cutter heads attached to interconnected parallelograms (a helical array of staggered holders), continuously shears oversize materials against twin, stationary bed knives. The cutter tips, which are available in stainless steel, tool steel, and tungsten carbide, can be slid onto blade holders and secured with one retaining socket-head screw, which allows for rapid replacement.

Gold Series cartridge dust collector

This firm’s Gold Series cartridge dust collector is now available with an optional integrated high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter that is mounted on top of the collector so that no additional floor space is required. This after-filter prevents collected dust from re-entering the workspace in case of a leak in the dust collector’s primary filtering system. It is a required component in recirculating dust collection systems that filter hazardous dusts and recycle air downstream of the collector.

Asset Manager R400

Asset Manager R400 allows users to coordinate all aspects of plant maintenance and operations — people, processes, and technologies — using a single comprehensive solution that seamlessly integrates with the firm’s other applications as well as leading third-party applications, such as IBM Maximo for enterprise-wide asset management. It enables users at all levels of plant operations to collaborate effectively in order to determine how to address abnormal equipment conditions and plan maintenance while assuring production dependability.

Black coating

The Black coating is an advanced blend of fluoropolymer, engineered plastics, and corrosion inhibitors that provides protection against rust and corrosion. Its properties include low friction, strong adhesion, and resistance to wear and abrasion, chipping, and elements such as weather, sunlight, and salt water. Laboratory and field tests show that the coating resists corrosion after more than 1,600 h of exposure, making it at least 300% more resistant than advanced plating. It works in a wide range of temperatures, from –420°F to 500°F.

split-ring AEGIS bearing protection ring

The split-ring AEGIS bearing protection ring protects AC motor bearings from electrical damage by safely grounding shaft currents induced by variable-frequency drives (VFDs). The unit has a 360-deg. circumferential inner ring of conductive microfibers permanently secured in place by the firm’s patented FiberLock channel, which prevents the microfiber brushes from breaking, loosening, or falling out. The kit includes engineered silver-filled conductive epoxy for mounting the ring.

Wear Plates

These high-hardness wear plates protect inlets, curves, discharge sections, and other areas of equipment from premature wear due to high-impact contact with abrasive materials traveling at high velocities. They are suitable for processes that handle glass-filled plastic resins, ceramic particles, mineral aggregates, abrasive grains, and other powdered, granular, or viscous materials.
