VersiJet series Air-Operated Diaphragm Pumps

The VersiJet series high-capacity air-operated diaphragm pumps have a five-chamber design and feature heavy-duty motor brushes that significantly lengthen pump life. Three models with capacities of 4, 5, and 6 gpm provide pressures up to 70 psi (4.8 bar), and have self-priming capabilities up to 10 ft (wetted).

Ingeo M700 lactide

The Ingeo lactide and biopolymer product line has been extended with the addition of a high-purity, polymer-grade lactide rich in the stereoisomer meso-lactide. Ingeo M700 lactide can be used as an intermediate for copolymers, amorphous oligomers and polymers, grafted substrates, resin additives and modifiers, adhesives, coatings, elastomers, surfactants, thermosets, and solvents. Ingeo M700 is said to be a lower-cost alternative to high-priced racemic lactides and L- and D-lactides for a host of industrial applications.

Elastosil LR 3011/50 FR and Elastosil LR 3170/40

Previous liquid silicone rubbers owed their flame retardancy to inert fillers such as quartz, which caused abrasion during the injection molding process. In contrast, Elastosil LR 3011/50 FR and Elastosil LR 3170/40 are formulated with inert fillers that contain no abrasive additives. Because they exhibit considerably less abrasive behavior during injection molding, maintenance needs are reduced and the useful life of the mold is extended.

Aclar UltRx 6000 film

The Aclar UltRx 6000 film protects sensitive medicines from moisture in hot and humid climates, allowing pharmaceutical producers to standardize their product packaging with a single packaging film that will work in all regions of the world. This clear film can also help reduce drug package sizes by up to 55% compared with traditional cold-formed foil. Aclar UltRx 6000 is a 6-mil, 152-mm thermoformable film that is biochemically inert, chemical resistant, nonflammable, and plasticizer- and stabilizer-free, and it provides extremely low moisture vapor transmission rates.

BIOBAN 551S

A new antimicrobial active ingredient, MBIT (2-Methyl-1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one), enables BIOBAN 551S to eliminate microbial contamination and control the growth of organisms in cans of products such as latex or aqueous coatings and paints.

Master Bond UV16

A combination of superior physical strength and cure rates faster than those of competing epoxy adhesives makes Master Bond UV16 suitable for demanding bonding, sealing, and coating applications. The standard formulation has a viscosity of 200–400 cP, and a higher-viscosity version (UV16TK) is also available. A reactive epoxy, UV16 is uninhibited by oxygen, and does not release any solvents or volatiles during curing. It adheres well to a wide array of substrates, including many plastics, metals, and glass.

Type 561 and Type 562 cone check valves

The Type 561 and Type 562 cone check valves have an aerodynamic, spherical-shaped cone that ensures tight closing and leakproof operation. The cone’s double bearing prevents it from tilting, even during rapid closing, and eliminates malfunctions. Other design features include a cone guide that prevents jamming; a fixed gasket that eliminates slipping, bending, or gasket erosion; and a union that allows for easy replacement or maintenance in the field.

Series RVDT automatic valve

The lug-mounted Series RVDT automatic valve performs multiple functions, including pressure relief, backpressure control, pump bypass, and anti-siphon protection. It uses an adjustable nonwetted spring to control backpressure in liquid piping systems. The setpoint is adjustable, and once the set pressure is reached, the valve begins to open. This operation enables the valve to provide a controlled obstruction in a piping system, as needed, which is useful for providing backpressure on a pump or backpressure to maintain desired flow to downstream points of use.

Fisher VBL booster

The compact, lightweight Fisher VBL booster is designed for applications in which a valve positioner alone cannot provide the stroking speed needed to meet rapidly changing process conditions and demands. The booster enables fast valve response in the face of rapid input-signal changes. It incorporates a variety of features that work in tandem — fixed deadband, internal soft seats that produce tight shutoff (to reduce unnecessary air consumption and eliminate positioner delays), and an internal bypass restriction that enables fast actuator response.

Type 8681 control head

The Type 8681 control head expands the company’s hygienic processing line for the food and beverage and pharmaceutical industries. Developed for use as the centralized control element in decentralized automation systems, it performs all pneumatic actuation, feedback, and diagnostic functions, as well as bus communication, for pneumatically controlled valves. Depending on the type of process valve, it is able to control up to three pneumatic actuator chambers separately.
