Spring Meeting chair Leo Chiang sat down with Hoda Mehrpouyan, assistant professor and co-director of Cyber Lab for Industrial Control Systems, Boise State University, to discuss how chemical engineers can take an active approach to combatting and protecting against hackers. She participated in the panel discussion "Educating the Chemical Engineering Workforce on Cybersecurity" at the 2018 AIChE Spring Meeting and 14th GCPS in Orlando and sat down with ChEnected to discuss a few of the major themes.
In the video interview above, Dr. Mehrpouyan discusses the importance of addressing cybersecurity, educating engineers about cybersecurity issues, and what young chemical engineers can do to get more involved in cybersecurity.
