Raymond Rooks, PhD, is a principal engineer with AVN Corp., where he develops new processes, designs equipment, and provides operating and troubleshooting support for laboratory and pilot plant processes. Prior to AVN, he worked in process separations at Union Carbide and Dow and in process development and competitive analysis at Praxair and Linde. He received a BS from the Univ. of Oklahoma and a PhD from the Univ. of Massachusetts, Amherst, both in chemical engineering.
