Bill Mosier is the Global Head of Safety for Syngenta, a leading global science-based agtech company. He specializes in occupational and process safety and is a key member of Syngenta’s global Health, Safety and Environmental Leadership Team.

Bill serves as the chair of the 13th PSM2 Symposium, which takes place at the 2024 Spring Meeting and 20th Global Congress on Process Safety in New Orleans, Louisiana. This year’s symposium will consist of five parallel tracks included in the Global Congress on Process Safety (GCPS).

Bill invites you to attend GCPS in New Orleans and consider attending the powerful lineup of topics and speakers in PSM2.

What is your role for the 2024 AIChE Spring Meeting & 20th Global Congress on Process Safety?

I am the 2024 Chair of the Process Safety Management Mentoring (PSM2) Symposium. This involves working with the GCPS planning committee and supporting the many hardworking volunteer session co-chairs in selecting and coordinating impactful topics for a successful conference.

Can you give us some insight into this year’s GCPS and what events shouldn’t be missed?

This year’s PSM2 Symposium is solid throughout, and you should highly consider attending if you are an experienced process safety professional and newer to process safety. I’m excited to see that we’ve been able to bring back The Faces of Process Safety: Process Safety Mentoring for Our IDEAL Workforce for the second year as we continue to advance the IDEAL vision of AIChE.

What information are you hoping attendees walk away with?

Meeting new people, building networks, learning about new technologies and ways of working in the spirit of advancing process safety. Additionally, I hope attendees walk away with an understanding of how to make our workplaces and industries safer and more reliable along with meeting the needs of our customers.
