JoAnn Lighty is currently the Division Director for Chemical, Bioengineering, Environmental, and Transport Systems (CBET) at the National Science Foundation under IPA with the University of Utah.
While at the 2015 Annual Meeting, JoAnn had some time to sit down with Stéphanie Orvoine-Couvrette, who's responsible for program development for the AIChE's Annual Meeting. Stéphanie asks about NSF opportunities for chemical engineers. She also discusses with Joann her session "Understanding the Brain: A Chemical Engineering Perspective," which took place November 10.
