Cyclone and Hydrocyclone (Invited Talk)

Cyclone and hydrocyclone have been widely used in fluid-particle separation processes in industry. There have been long and lasting efforts to have a better design, optimized operation and scale-up, however, our understanding is still far from complete, due to the involved very complex flow. This session is designed to report the latest advances in the studies on cyclone and hydrocyclone, all experimental, numerical and theoretical studies are invited, including but not limited to the new design development, CFD modelling, pressure balance and pressure drop investigations ,collection efficiency, gas and solid flow experimental investigations, dipleg hydrodynamics and industrial applications.
