(571e) CACHE Initiatives: Process Systems

Authors

Braatz, R. - Presenter, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
This presentation describes CACHE initiatives in the area of process systems. CACHE supports the teaching of chemical engineering courses by managing webpages that link to resources that include syllabi, course schedules, computer-aided tools, interactive simulations, screencasts, concept questions, textbook information, useful links, and course notes. The resources relevant to the teaching of process systems include computer-aided educational tools developed by CACHE, such as sustainable manufacturing educational modules.

CACHE organizes conferences on progress and future directions in process systems, which include Chemical Process Control, Foundations of Computer Aided Process Operations, and Foundations of Computer-Aided Process Design. Activities and results are summarized for a newly founded conference on Foundations of Process Analytics and Machine Learning.
