(82c) Teaching Students How to Learn: Blending Retrieval Practice with Team-Based Learning in a Material and Energy Balances Course

This presentation will describe how two high-impact, evidenced-based instructional strategies, Retrieval Practice and Team-Based Learning, were implemented to update the course delivery format used in a material and energy balances course for second-year chemical engineering students. The talk will provide examples to illustrate how these changes in course delivery impact what students learn and how students go about learning it.
