In contrast to conventional carbon capture systems that capture CO2 from large stationary point sources such as power plants, the ability to capture CO2 from atmospheric air has been studied in this study. This presentation will include an experimental analysis of CO2 captureand concentration from ambient air using temperature swing adsorption (TSA) and vacuum temperature swing adsorption (VTSA) as a means to capture and effectively reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. Commercially available faujasite structured zeolites have been screened using gravimetric analysis and breakthrough experimentation to determine which adsorbent would be the best for a direct carbon capture plant from air.
