With the depletion of the petroleum reservoirs throughout the world, there is an immense utilization of the various enhanced oil recovery techniques. The enhanced oil recovery techniques range from thermal to non-thermal techniques. The thermal methods can be using hot water or steam as well as using electrical heating. The non-thermal methods included the miscible flooding, non-miscible flooding and chemical flooding. The present research deals with the study of various enhanced oil recovery techniques utilized for the extraction of the leftover oil in the reservoirs. It also studies about the economic benefits of the different enhanced oil recovery techniques. The later part of the study deals with the utilization of the properties of the leftover reservoir for the selection of the available enhanced oil recovery techniques.
