Materials for the Rapid Implementation of Bioprocesses
Combining downstream separation units with upstream reactor technology offers the prospect of simplified, compact and inexpensive manufacturing processes. This session will focus on novel materials and recent materials development for combined catalysis/reaction and separation engineering. Theoretical and experimental papers with focus on materials for ad- and absorbents for solute molecules, ions, bio-molecules and viruses, membrane reactors with applications in the biopharmaceutical and petrochemical area, electrocatalytic flow cells, enzymatic membrane reactors and immobilized enzyme systems, continuous viral expression systems and encapsulated cell cultures are welcome.
