A tremendous effort is being invested to foster flexible, cost-effective, and high-throughput processing of traditional biologics and novel modalities - moving towards intensified processes. The continuous processing technology is seen as the next generation manufacturing for biopharmaceutical products. The scale-up and scale-out of classical batch biomanufacturing technologies has presented challenges for the industry and will be covered in this session. This session invites talks to share your experiences and solutions during process development or technology transfer from batch to continuous operation. Regulatory impact to the fundamental understanding of the continuous bioprocesses, role of PAT and continuous in-line sampling technologies will also be covered.
