Understand the complexities of navigating a PhD with a different mindset compared to their undergraduate degree program 2. Write out a plan of action for successfully navigating their PhD journey 3. Discuss, freely, issues they are currently facing in their PhD program and how to overcome those issues 4. Walk away confident in their efforts to complete their PhD with a high level of success
