Cybersecurity and High-Performance Computing in Next-Gen Manufacturing

Chair(s)

Durand, H., Wayne State University

Co-chair(s)

Kwon, J., Texas A&M University

This session seeks research results which focus on concerns at the interface of information technology or computer science and chemical engineering practice. Practical means for enhancing cybersecurity of manufacturing systems and data are of interest, as well as applications of high-performance computing in achieving next-gen manufacturing goals. Novel techniques in these domains that have enabled industrial advances are welcome, and the focus should be on results applied to industrial-scale systems in practice or in high-fidelity simulations. Submissions from industry and national labs are welcome to facilitate discussion at the industry/national lab/academic interface as it pertains to the developed strategies for next-gen manufacturing. Discussion of policy and other practical considerations in the implementation of appropriate cybersecurity measures and the adoption and use of high-performance computing for next-gen manufacturing are also within the scope.
