(479d) Catalytic Performance Descriptors from First-Principles

Mark Barteau has been a leading figure in Chemical Engineering, including in his efforts to bridge the gap between surface science and heterogeneous catalysis. Accordingly, in this presentation, we will discuss examples whereby key concepts from fundamental surface science will be shown to describe catalytic performance, including: activity, selectivity, and stability.
