Cells are sensitive to physical forces such as shear stress and the mechanical properties of their environment; however, the mechanisms by which these forces alter cell function are not fully understood. This session features cutting edge discoveries on the role of these physical forces on cell migration, metabolism, differentiation, cellular interactions, and signal production.
