Lithium and Beyond: Fundamental Advances in High Performance Batteries II

This symposium will focus on advanced battery systems beyond traditional lithium-ion technology. These systems, such as lithium metal batteries with advanced anodes or cathodes, sodium batteries, and multivalent batteries (e.g., Mg, Ca, or Al) can provide enhanced electrochemical properties or unique advantages in terms of cost, sustainability and/or safety. Of particular interest are fundamentals of operation and materials for anodes, cathodes, and electrolytes. Both experimental and theoretical studies are solicited.
