Flexible Platforms for Investigating Cellular Processes

This session includes abstracts covering chip-based technologies or microphysiological systems that model cell, tissue, and organ function with minimalist and microscale approaches with the goal of recreating or partially capturing human physiology with applications in drug development, mechanistic discovery, and/or augmenting clinical and pre-clinical studies. Technologies may include microfluidics, cells and biomaterials, dynamic extracellular signals, and multiple tissues/organs linked together toward whole-body integration.
