This session focuses on the challenge of how to engineer cells and in vitro reaction systems to more efficiently convert bio-based compounds into higher value chemicals. The engineered “chasses” include both cells and emulsions, while electrocatalytic strategies in vitro enable chemical transformations that are difficult to perform using other methods.
