Hao Feng
Professor of Food and Bioprocess Engineering
Hao Feng is a Professor of Food and Bioprocess Engineering at UIUC, and Site Director of the NSF Industry/University Cooperative Research Center for Advanced Research in Drying. He received his BS and MS in Chemical Machinery Engineering from Dalian University of Technology in China, and his PhD in Engineering Science from Washington State University. He has over 28 years of experience working on different unit operations, including 17 years with high-intensity ultrasound and its application in process industries. He has also worked on bio-ethanol and bio-butanol processes from pre-treatment, detoxification, enzymatic hydrolysis, fermentation, to downstream recovery process development, with one issued patent.
