Energy Outlook: Role of Natural Gas

With an increasing global population and developing middle class, more and more people around the world will be looking for affordable, reliable energy solutions to support and improve their standard of living.  Many factors, including technology, environmental, economic and political to name a few will help shape and impact the decision and choices that are made.   Understanding the role natural gas will play in solving the dual energy challenge of providing scalable energy solutions while reducing emissions to address the risk of climate change is a goal of ExxonMobil scientists and engineers.

Vijay Swarup

Dr. Swarup joined the company in 1987 as an engineer at Exxon Research and Engineering in Clinton, New Jersey.  Over his career, he has progressed through a variety of engineering, planning and managerial roles at company locations in Redwater, Alberta, Canada; Baytown, Texas; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Houston, Texas and Fairfax, Virginia.
