Process Intensification (PI) is one of the most promising areas for the chemical process industry today as it seeks to create breakthrough technologies and equipment that can produce significant cost and energy savings.

To date, five webinars have debuted out of a series of ten covering a range of PI topics from fundamental concepts to utilizing varied types of reactors effectively such as micro- and millireactors, dynamic continuous flow reactors and more. Sponsored by the RAPID Manufacturing Institute, these webinars have (so far) educated over 600 participants on the value and importance of adopting PI principles.

Each of these webinars are available on-demand, consider catching-up on all five at your convenience.

Ashley Smith-Schoettker, the Director of Education and Workforce Development emphasizes that “this series is taught by leaders in the field and is intended to provide fundamental PI concepts combined with real world examples that can be used onsite. And, based on the feedback we’re getting, we are succeeding.” Participants have stated, “Process Intensification is a relevant and critical topic for efficiency, product quality, and safety” and “basic principles were effectively illustrated with practical examples.”

There is still time to register for the upcoming live webinars. Webinars are free to RAPID members, available to AIChE members through the use of member credits, and offered at a nominal cost to non-members.
