The RAPID Manufacturing Institute will officially launch its first-ever signature event, the RAPID Technology Speed Dating Networking and Connections Program, on April 26th at our Members Council Meeting at the 2018 AIChE Spring Meeting.  The thrust of the program is to introduce new member project concepts that solve critical issues within  RAPID’s key focus areas. The event will match these new ideas with potential partners who have relevant academic or industry know-how, experience and R&D facilities.

“We are excited not only by the level of participation by our members but also the innovations proposed that will significantly impact process intensification within a number of our industries,” stated CTO Jim Bielenberg.

Twenty-seven (27) projects were submitted for consideration. At the upcoming meeting, participants will provide high-level overviews of what they are working on and the help they are seeking. The format RAPID will employ allows for discussion, idea-sharing and networking.

“Fostering collaboration on every level is what RAPID is all about,” said interim CEO, Tom Walsh. “Our goal is to facilitate successful outcomes for participating RAPID members and build upon these projects.”
