RAPID Workshop: Tuesday, December 10, 1:30PM-3:30PM

Join RAPID at the upcoming 2019 Food Innovation and Engineering (FOODIE) Conference. Hosted by AIChE's Food, Pharmaceutical & Bioengineering Division, this conference will discuss emerging technologies for food production, analyze strategies to connect industry and cuisine, and navigate methods to fit the consumer market. This three-day conference will bring together leaders in the field of food technology, science, and industry, where attendees will have ample opportunities to network and foster innovation.

RAPID will hold a short interactive session alongside this conference focused on the application of modular processing on protein separation and purification. During this session, the RAPID CEO, Bill Grieco, will present an overview of the RAPID manufacturing institute and the institute’s roadmap, as well as relevant projects currently funded via RAPID. This will be followed by small group breakouts where participants will brainstorm how modular technologies could be applied to protein separation and purification processes to enable energy/water savings. There will be plenty of time to ask questions about RAPID and to provide your perspective on where modular and chemical process intensification could have significant impact.
