Yusuf G (Debo) Adewuyi is a professor of chemical, biological and bioengineering at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCAT). He does research in sustainable energy and environmental engineering. Before joining NCAT he was a senior staff engineer and research engineer with Mobil R&D Corporation (now ExxonMobil). Dr. Adewuyi received his BS from Ohio University (Cum Laude), and MS and PhD (1985) from the University of Iowa, all in chemical engineering. He is a member of the AIChE; ACS; ASEE); AAAS) and a Fellow of AIChE. He received the MAC’s Excellence and Service Award in 2005 and Distinguished Service Award in 2006. He has over 150 publications and three patents. He received NCAT College of Engineering Senior Researcher of the Year Award in 2011 and 2012, Chemical Engineering Teacher of the Year Award in 1994 and 1997, and NCAT University Outstanding Senior Researcher of the Year Award in 2014.
